With the nominations just out for the 52nd annual CMA awards yesterday, we take time to recap the successful candidates with some of their music along the way.
Billboard music awards as always has a mega range of artists and performances and those who were country influenced did not disappoint! Winners included Maren Morris for Top Country Female Artist, Florida Georgia Line for Top Country Duo/Group Artist, and Luke Bryan for Top Country Tour. Chris and Morgane Stapleton were pleased to announce the birth of two little boys at the weekend. The couple reports that the twins are happy and healthy at home. Reba McEntire announced their arrival live during Sunday’s (April 15) ACM Awards in Las Vegas.
The babies made their social media debut back on Tuesday (April 17) afternoon in a timeless black and white image snuggled up against mum.
“We would like to say a special thank you to all the incredible nurses and doctors at Centennial Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Nashville,” Morgane wrote. “At more than a month early, we had a week-long stay in the NICU, and the incredible people there kept our boys healthy and happy. Words cannot express our gratitude for you all and what you did for our family.”

Country Music returned to Las Vegas for the first time since the tragic events of the 1st October last year. Aldean opened the 53rd Academy of Country Music awards along with Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett and Luke Bryan.
It’s the music industries biggest night of the year, a night where all genres are represented, all under one roof, But last night (Jan 28), the Grammys turned out to be the biggest night for one country star, Chris Stapleton.
