One thing that they all have in common is that these event use support acts, or openers, Acts that fill the time and warm up the crowd until the big guys are due on! Sometimes all you want is to get past the support to the main item, but sometimes, the support act can really surprise you, leaving you wanting more&#8230;and I think Kendell Marvell will do just this when he appears prior to the Brothers Osborne, opening their gigs during their UK and Ireland tour.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Openers use their time to showcase their talents and to establish a fan base, with the aim of growing their career and Marvel should have no problem doing this. His performances come ahead of his debut album. The already award-winning songwriter will release his debut album <em>LOWDOWN &amp; LONESOME <\/em>on May 18<sup>th<\/sup> via <strong>Snakefarm Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>LOWDOWN &amp; LONESOME<\/em> is a riff-led, gritty outlaw country\/ rock \u2018n\u2019 roll album that tells a story of love and heartbreak, the low points in between. Produced by <strong>Keith Gattis<\/strong> and featuring an all-star band, with guest appearances from <strong>Jamey Johnson<\/strong> and <strong>Randy Houser<\/strong>, the <em>true <\/em>stars of the album are the songs themselves\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Says <strong>Kendell<\/strong>: <em>\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to the release of my debut record, \u2018Lowdown &amp; Lonesome\u2019, in the UK. It was produced by Keith Gattis, former guitar player with Dwight Yoakam, and I like to refer to it as ZZ Top meets Merle Haggard. I\u2019m also looking forward to my first trip across the pond to be the support for the Brothers Osborne tour. On his first day working in the city, he wrote \u2018Right Where I Need To Be\u2019 \u2013 a huge Top 5 hit for country music singer <strong>Gary Allan<\/strong>. Putting dreams of being an artist on the back-burner, the now-experienced songwriter continued to build his career and reputation, penning hits for and with famed artists such as <strong>George Strait<\/strong>,<strong> Jake Owen<\/strong>,<strong> Blake Shelton<\/strong> and <strong>Chris Stapleton<\/strong>. Now \u2013 20 years down the line \u2013 <strong>MARVEL<\/strong> is thriving as a singer\/songwriter in his own right.<\/p>\n<p>In Nashville, <strong>MARVEL <\/strong>hosts his monthly <em>\u2018Honky Tonk Experience\u2019<\/em> \u2013 an event at the city\u2019s famed venue Exit\/In, where he invites fans to an evening where he can showcase songs off the album, as well as his own brand of outlaw country rock.
