Jenn Bostic hits Belfast this Saturday night wrapping up her UK tour. Its the only date on the tour that features after the release date of her latest album release. We take a closer look at the artist, the album and her pending Belfast appearance.<\/p>\n

On May 4th<\/sup>, the critically acclaimed U.S. singer songwriter Jenn Bostic returns with her beautiful new album, Revival.<\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n Written over the last two years, \u2018Revival\u2019 is the follow up to Jenn\u2019s 2015 album Faithful<\/em><\/strong>, which included the BBC Radio 2<\/strong> playlisted single, What Love Feels Like<\/em>. <\/strong>Returning with the blend of blues, soul, country, pop and gospel that\u2019s already won her an army of fans, Revival<\/em> is her most authentic album yet. \u201cIt\u2019s the album my heart has been longing to make,\u201d <\/em>says Nashville based Jenn. \u201cI grew up listening to the bluesy, soulful sounds of Bonnie Raitt and have fallen in love with Tedeschi Trucks. When I went into House of Blues Studio in Nashville to record this album I knew exactly what I wanted for the first time in my career.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n And it shows. The result is an honest, soulful and empowering collection about overcoming any obstacle that life throws at you. Showcasing experienced song writing and confident vocals Revival<\/em> is the sound of an accomplished artist making the music they want to make. \u201cI’ve gone through a decade of artist development and I’m incredibly grateful for that time of growth and experimenting with different sounds, styles and producers,\u201d<\/em> says Jenn. \u201cWith Revival we had all the musicians in a large studio, at the same time, capturing a moment. It’s my favorite way to make music.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Highlights include the bluesy opener, Wrong Thing<\/em> about trusting your heart, and the powerful Haunting<\/em>, about a flashback you don\u2019t want to remember. The upbeat pop of Hollywood<\/em> is one of the album\u2019s brightest moments, whilst the contemplative ballad Lonely<\/em> and the rock infused Follow Your Own Star<\/em> showcase Jenn\u2019s positivity. \u00a0\u201cIf I’m going to be putting a message out into the world I want it to be one of hope, love and positivity<\/em>\u201d says Jenn. \u201cWe see life through the lenses with which choose to look at it.
