It’s been a long wait for fans of the\u00a0Pistol Annies, but new music from the trio is\u00a0definitely<\/em>\u00a0getting closer. In a recent interview, trio member\u00a0Angaleena Presley\u00a0said that the Annies have finished recording their third studio album.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“We just finished our third record. Two weeks ago [as of July 23],” Presley explains. “So we don’t really have a release date, per se, yet, but the record is there.”<\/p>\n

On July 18, the trio — comprised of Presley,\u00a0Miranda Lambert\u00a0and\u00a0Ashley Monroe\u00a0—\u00a0shared an image of themselves\u00a0in the recording studio, captioned “Sangin’ some songs #staytuned,” on social media; per Presley’s timeline, that photo was shared belatedly. The group has not yet\u00a0revealed the album’s title\u00a0or further details of the project, but fans have been eager to hear tidbits of information as the three women have\u00a0dropped them on social media and in interviews.<\/p>\n

“We’ll be going into the studio soon,” Monroe commented back\u00a0in April. “We’ve been writing, and we’ve written some of my favorite songs I’ve ever written in my life. We went to Miranda’s farm last week and really hunkered down and got some good stuff.”<\/p>\n
