Few are as deserving of mainstream genre stardom as her, and\u00a0<em>Never Will<\/em>\u00a0is all the proof we need.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ebmediapr.us10.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=8c2b6ee37a9e18082133cda47&amp;id=90939fbe14&amp;e=408a6e8495\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\"><em>Paste<\/em><\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>&#8220;On\u00a0<em>Never Will<\/em>, McBryde veers from soulful heartland rock (&#8216;Hang In There Girl&#8217;) to old-timey bluegrass (&#8216;Velvet Red&#8217;) to bluesy roadhouse ass-kickery (&#8216;Shut Up Sheila&#8217;) to goes-down-easy pop-country balladry (&#8216;One Night Standards&#8217;). There are also plenty of fun, unexpected detours, like the way McBryde happily ends the LP with a song about the history of styrofoam. This is great shit.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/ebmediapr.us10.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=8c2b6ee37a9e18082133cda47&amp;id=81be49e416&amp;e=408a6e8495\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\"><em>Stereogum<\/em><\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>&#8220;<em>Never Will<\/em>\u00a0cements McBryde as an artist comfortable in the in-between: smooth enough for the radio, but with a sense of craftsmanship that lands her squarely among some of the greats.
