\u00a0Acclaimed Philadelphia-raised singer\/songwriter\u00a0Dave Hause<\/strong>\u00a0marked the upcoming release of his new album,\u00a0Drive It Like It’s Stolen<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, with a series of solo acoustic shows in the UK & Europe over the last few weeks, including sold-out headline dates in London and Manchester, in-stores at Banquet Records (Kingston) and Missing Records (Glasgow), a series of \u2018under the radar\u2019 house concerts in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, and at least one impromptu unplugged pub gig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today (14\/4), Hause shares the latest song to be released from Drive It Like It\u2019s Stolen<\/em>, \u2018Tarnish<\/a>\u2019 – listen here<\/strong><\/a>. A wistful, acoustic ballad that finds him reflecting on a past life and pondering the eventual conversations he\u2019ll have with his young sons about it all, \u2018Tarnish\u2019 follows previous tracks \u2018Hazard Lights<\/a>\u2019, \u2018Damn Personal<\/a>\u2019, and \u2018Low<\/a>\u2019 – all available to stream\/download now, with the full album to follow on Blood Harmony Records, April 28, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussing the inspiration behind \u2018Tarnish\u2019, he said: \u201cI had kids later in life, and it turns out kids ask an awful lot of questions. Sooner or later I\u2019m gonna have some explaining to do for the four decades of living I did before they showed up on the scene, and I sure hope when they hear the answers, they take it easy on me.\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the artist\u2019s recently announced Sing Us Home Festival<\/em><\/strong> will take place in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA. on May 5-6, 2023. Coinciding with the album release, the two-day event will feature a unique show from Hause, Kathleen Edwards <\/strong>and Craig Finn<\/strong> (The Hold Steady), along with performances by Hause and his band, The Mermaid, alt-country rockers Drive-By Truckers<\/strong>, Tim Hause<\/strong>, Lydia Loveless<\/strong>, Crossed Keys<\/strong>, The Tisburys<\/strong>, Ocean Avenue Stompers<\/strong>, and Philadelphia ska-favorites Catbite<\/strong>.
