On May 2nd, Nashville’s Mandy Barnett and Belfast’s Ulster Orchestra will come together for one “Crazy” night only, to celebrate all things classic country!
To celebrate Belfast’s sister city, acclaimed country singer Mandy Barnett will be teaming up with NI’s Ulster Orchestra for a night of classic country in Belfast’s Waterfront Hall!
Taking place as part of Belfast City Council’s “I Love Nashville” festival, this event will transport any country fan to Downtown Nashville, and showcase the very best of these two sister cities.
Mandy Barnett has often performed at the Grand Ole Opry, as well as the legendary Patsy Cline, but puts her own spin on timeless classics such as “Crazy” and “Sweet Dreams”.
Country Weekly has stated that Mandy embodies “the emotional torch-and-twang style of Patsy Cline with authority”.
Meanwhile, the renowned Ulster Orchestra will be up for this very different task, as they take the place of Barnett’s traditional five-piece band.
“Mandy has an amazing voice, which the Ulster Orchestra will highlight with their own classical adaptation of Country classics” – Richard Wigley, Managing Director, Ulster Orchestra
