After taking the USA by storm, performing as a contestant on hit show The Voice as part of Team Blake Shelton, Curtis Grimes has grown to become a country star through and through! Now he has set his sights on our side of the Atlantic!

We got to chat to him about all things ‘Undeniably Country‘ – check out our interview below! 

1. Who were your biggest musical influences growing up?

It’s what I was raised on and I appreciate the storytelling aspect of the song-writing
 
3. How do you think your Texas upbringing has influenced your music?
It has a lot to do with the content and the small-town mindset of interpreting things
 
4. Are you grateful for your time on ‘The Voice‘, or do you wish to break away from that?
I appreciate all the opportunities and exposure that I gained from the show
 
5. What did you enjoy most about recording ‘Undeniably Country‘?
Curtis Grimes Undeniably Country ArtworkThat there were no strings attached and that I had 100% control of every aspect. I wanted to create a traditional country album that reflects my personal taste in music and represents me as an artist.
 
6. What was the most challenging point of making this album?
Narrowing down the songs, we had so many great ones to pick from!
 
7. What would be your favourite country album to listen to right now?
Vern Gosdin or Keith Whitley greatest hits
 
8. What are your tour plans for 2018? Any visit to the UK or Ireland coming up?
To play as many shows as possible and continue spreading my music to new audiences. We are working hard to set up a multi-week tour overseas next year and I’m hoping to hit as many of those markets as possible!
