American new comer Lainey Wilson set for UK

Hailing from the small farming community of Baskin, Louisiana, newcomer Lainey Wilson has as much grit in her as she does soul. She moved to Nashville in a camper trailer to pursue a career in music and has been carving her own unique place in the country music landscape ever since, already garnering early praise as “a cautious optimist with just enough scars and pragmatism to write great, universal country songs” (Taste of Country) and “one of those voices who will grab your attention and keep it” (Whiskey Riff).

Ashley McBride wraps up UK tour with a sell out London show and appearance on Jools Holland

For a girl that was supposedly going nowhere, Ashley McBryde has been taking her music everywhere over the past year. Since the release of her major label debut Girl Going Nowhere in March, the artist that NPR called “one of the genre’s most important new voices” has been all over the USA on her first-ever headlining The Girl Going Nowhere Tour and recently made a return trip across the pond to play a few select dates with Luke Combs in the U.K, having been named one of Rolling Stone’s highlights of C2C Festival in London earlier in the year.

It’s cool to be Country – Sheeran drops into Bluebird Cafe

While the world’s top musicians attended the American Music Awards on Tuesday in Los Angeles, one name was missing from the RSVP list — Ed Sheeran’s.

Instead of attending the ceremony, he opted for a songwriter’s round at the sacred Nashville music venue, the Bluebird Café. The night highlighted acoustic performances by “Thinking Out Loud” co-writer Amy Wadge, Devin Dawson, David Hodges and Jillian Jacqueline, a member of CMT Next Women of Country.

Celebrities always seem to blend in discreetly with locals and tourists whenever they’re in Nashville. And that was the case for Sheeran because no one noticed him sitting at a table in a far corner until he stood up to perform the last song, “Thinking Out Loud” with Wadge.

For all who were there, it was a totally original Nashville night.

Sheeran brought his world tour to Nashville on Saturday. He was a front-runner at the AMAs with six nominations including a nod for the night’s top honor for artist of the year. The honor went to his friend, Taylor Swift.

New music released from Eric Church

In August’s candid Rolling Stone cover story shortly after Eric Church announced his sixth album was in the works, readers learned exactly what the North Carolinian has been shouldering since his Holdin’ My Own Tour wrapped last May. It was the first time the songwriter had spoken out regarding the turmoil and angst of the last year, his processing of it all and the outcome: a collection of 11 songs that tell a broader story with today’s release of Desperate Man

Jason Aldean remembers Route 91 a year on

On Monday past (1st October)  the country music community joined Route 91 survivors including Jason Aldean in honoring the 58 victims who lost their lives in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history a year ago in Las Vegas. Thousands gathered at the Clark County Government Amphitheater for a Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony that hosted a 58-second moment of silence and the release of 58 doves.
