A Special podcast ahead of the Brothers Osborne hitting Irish soil this weekend as they take to the stage in the Academy in Dublin on Friday (4th May) and then head north to Belfast for a Limelight performance on Saturday (5th May). Brothers Osborne recorded much of their new album, Port Saint Joe, in a beach house in Florida, and one of the songs they tracked — “Shoot Me Straight” — was recorded live in front of a bunch of friends who came down to hang out.
As a special treat to fans, Belfast City Council have refunded all ticket purchases to customers and have decided to run this concert as a free event. Anyone who is in possession of tickets, these will still be required to gain entry and anyone still wanting to obtain tickets, please see below.
Main acts are what draws the crowd to any event, from stadium and arena tours, to the smaller intimate gigs. One thing that they all have in common is that these event use support acts, or openers, Acts that fill the time and warm up the crowd until the big guys are due on! Sometimes all you want is to get past the support to the main item, but sometimes, the support act can really surprise you, leaving you wanting more…and I think Kendell Marvell will do just this when he appears prior to the Brothers Osborne, opening their gigs during their UK and Ireland tour.
Last night the Nashville cast performed their last gig in Dublin as part of their Farewell Tour. There was an immense excitement, albeit mixed with a sense of sadness as we know the end of the show on TV is drawing ever closer. Tonight they do their thing in Belfast!

Saturday 5th May see’s the fabulous Brothers Osborne roll into Northern Ireland for their first UK gig of this your. They’ll be playing in Belfast’s Limelight, straight after a Dublin appearance on the previous night. The event comes just two weeks after the release of their second album ‘Port Saint Joe’. On the 24th of March Nathan Carter will return to the SSE Arena in Belfast, this time he’s bringing along a few special surprises. Not only will his wee brother on stage with him, but legendary bluegrass group Hayseed Dixie’ will also be performing at the event. Hayseed Dixie, who played the Belfast Empire last night are an American band which began in 2001 with the release of their first album, A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC. The band performs a mixture of cover versions of hard rock songs and original compositions in a style that is a unique fusion of bluegrass and rock music and they are acknowledged as the creators of the musical genre “Rockgrass”. The band’s name is a linguistic play on the name of the band AC/DC.
